Stacy Peterson is weaver of stories and a teller of tales. Her fun, effervescent style takes you on a journey through the wonder of childhood sprinkling the way with whimsical characters and charming girls. With a strong background in design, Stacy s work playfully interprets nostalgic childhood themes in a fresh, modern way. Her palette ranges from pretty pastels to colors as vivid as one s imagination. Here you can delight in the everyday and find wonder in the world. Shortly after her son was born, Stacy began illustrating part time while working as an art director in a New York City advertising agency. Finding success, she began illustrating full time for dozens of books, greeting cards and magazines and her artwork helped launch the immensely popular American Girl tween craft line. Stacy calls the beautiful Texas Hill Country home, where she lives with her two children. There, along a winding creek dancing with fireflies, she finds inspiration for her collections. Her clients include Scholastic, Penguin Putnam, American Girl, Darice, Klutz, Publications International, Robert Kaufman and even celebrities such as Madonna.

The most adorable forest creatures to color in this beautiful book! I absolutely adore this coloring book! I love adult coloring books with all kinds of animals in them and this is definitely one of them. Season wise, it’s a perfect book to color in Autumn but you can also color and hang these pictures any time of the year. I love that this book has perforated pages with only one picture per page. I enclosed 2 pictures for examples, sorry about the poor lighting.Best Lovely, simple, various, tidy designs. You can tell when drawings have been rushed and half-assed (like other coloring books I've bought in the past), and these aren't like that. Large pages. Very thick, one-sided paper with tear lines for easy removal. The paper takes beautifully to water-based markers and pens (haven't tried anything else yet). I couldn't be more happy with the purchase.Super Cute! Super cute coloring book and I love the spiral... the picture is drawn right over the serrated edge of the page in case that is a factor for you! If you want to tear out the picture with out the spiral edge you will lose a small (in my opinion) and insignificant portion of the picture. The pages are spiral bound and serrated to be torn out. Pages are thick and sturdy. Product is as described.

Dark Illusion (Carpathian Novel, A) Download

ISBN: 1984803468
Title: Dark Illusion (Carpathian Novel, A) Pdf
Author: Christine Feehan
Published Date: 2019
Page: 432

Praise for Dark Illusion“Feehan expertly weaves an intoxicating blend of fantasy and sensuality in this exceptional and powerful 29th Carpathian paranormal (after Dark Sentinel)....Feehan’s gift for intricate worldbuilding is paired with pitch-perfect plotting to ensnare readers from the first page. Her many fans will devour this masterfully wrought tale, which is also an enticing entry point for new readers.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review) Christine Feehan is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Carpathian series, the GhostWalker series, the Leopard series, the Shadow Riders series, and the Sea Haven novels, including the Drake Sisters series and the Sisters of the Heart series.

A mage and a warrior must see beyond their facades and embrace the bond that links their souls in this powerful Carpathian novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.

At any other time, Julija Brennan would find solace in the quiet of the Sierra Mountains, but now the mage is in the race of her life. Having broken free from her controlling family, Julija’s attempt to warn the Carpathians of the coming threat has failed and put a target on her back—and those who are hunting her are close behind.…

After centuries locked away in a monastery in the Carpathian Mountains, Isai Florea can’t believe he’s finally found his lifemate—the missing half of his soul. The second he sees Julija, his world blazes with color. But despite their explosive connection, Julija rebels against what she sees as Isai’s intent to control her and rejects the bond that would prevent him from becoming a monster.

As their unfulfilled bond continues to call to them both, Julija and Isai aim to complete the task that brought them together. They are used to facing danger alone, but now the mage and the ancient warrior must learn how to rely on each other in order to stop a plot that threatens all Carpathians.…

What happened to this series Carpathians used to cherish their life mates, this one started physically abusing his 2 minutes after meeting her. It was appalling not sexy or sensual. That’s as far as I got in the book it was so disturbingA thin story without an end Having adored the first ten or more of the Carpathian books I continue to buy them as they are published but Christine Feehan seems to have lost her magic or maybe just her interest. This one has two pleasant enough characters but there is a great deal of repetition of the life mate connection, a completely gratuitous spanking, (for Joey Hill readers?) a fair amount of vanilla sex, a couple of villains, the requisite battle between evil and the heroes, and then it stops. Clearly we are supposed to wait for the next book to find the conclusion but I realized I really do not care. It will be more same o- same-o. Feehan pads her books with a long list of Carpathian chants so the ending to the story is about 75% though the book. The rest is some language lesson that someone somewhere may want to learn, but not me.What Happened to the Ending? This book was a solid 5 star . . . until the ending. First, the book was only at 89% when it ended. Come on Ms. Feehan. Enough of the Carpathian lineage, chants, etc. Must every book have these take up 10% or more of the space? It would have been much better if the ending was better developed. This is the second book where it seemed like a word limit was reached and the ending practically stopped mid-sentence. I truly felt cheated and sorry that I didn't wait to get it from the library because it was not cheap.

Brooke Nolan is a battered child who makes an anonymous phone call about the escalating brutality in her home.

When social services jeopardize her safety condemning her to keep her father’s secret, it’s a glass of spilled milk at the dinner table that forces her to speak about the cruelty she’s been hiding. In her pursuit for safety and justice Brooke battles a broken system that pushes to keep her father in the home.

When jury members and a love interest congregate to inspire her to fight, she risks losing the support of family and comes to the realization that some people simply do not want to be saved.

Spilled Milk is a novel of shocking narrative, triumph and resiliency.

This book is an OUTSTANDING READ! This book is OUTSTANDING!!! It is amazingly well written and has your attention till the last word. I picked this book randomly based on the reviews I cannot recommend it highly enough to others. What an amazing story and a great read. Thank you for sharing such a difficult time in your lifeI couldn't put this book down! I'm not an avid reader and wanted something to read on the treadmill. So much for the workout. I couldn't stop reading this well written first hand account of the horrors that took place in this family. We need to all be aware and look for signs of abuse in those we meet and not stand on the sideline. Get involved, ask questions and be that bubble for those in need. The world needs more Gina's and Midge's.GREAT BOOK!!!! I picked out this book randomly a few days ago when I was bored and just wanted to ready something. At first all I expected from this book was a good and interesting story, but when I continued reading, I found it to be SO much more then that. I was deeply touched by the bravery and strength of the girl, and I actually cried several times when some of the moments really hit me. After reading this book, I finally have an idea of what is it that a lot of people are going through, and I can finally understand how hard and scary it must be for people to open up and seek help when they are being abused, sexually harassed, or something even more horrible. Before even though I've been to a lot of assemblies where people come in and talk about how most victims in these kind of situations didn't have a choice when they first started (the assemblies were most about human trafficking, although this isn't what's been discussed in the book, it somehow reminded me of this), there had always been a part of my mind that thought maybe if they really wanted to get out of it in the first place, they could have a choice. And back then, I never realized there could actually be people around me who might be going through this right now. Looking back at it now, I just realized how arrogant I was before. This book has taught me a lot, and I believe it could inspire a lot of people who are experiencing similar situations in their lives right now. And maybe the strength of the character could also give them the same courage to stand up and seek help.

12 Rules for Life Download

ISBN: B0797Y87JC
Title: 12 Rules for Life Pdf An Antidote to Chaos

What does everyone in the modern world need to know? Renowned psychologist Jordan B. Peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research.

Humorous, surprising, and informative, Dr. Peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticize too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street.

What does the nervous system of the lowly lobster have to tell us about standing up straight (with our shoulders back) and about success in life? Why did ancient Egyptians worship the capacity to pay careful attention as the highest of gods? What dreadful paths do people tread when they become resentful, arrogant, and vengeful? Dr. Peterson journeys broadly, discussing discipline, freedom, adventure, and responsibility, distilling the world's wisdom into 12 practical and profound rules for life. 12 Rules for Life shatters the modern commonplaces of science, faith, and human nature while transforming and ennobling the mind and spirit of its listeners.

Way too religious! As the headline states, "way too religious." And I couldn't read past the author's assertion that order is associated with masculinity and chaos is associated with the feminine. Nope. Not wasting my time on this... Sorry I paid for this book.Great advice with deep insights. I took about a month to finish Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, in part because I wanted to slow down and try some of the advice in my life.12 Rules for Life is an interesting book. Equal parts philosophy, psychology, and self-help book, it covers a broad range of topics, with Peterson drawing from life experiences, religion, and history to build a strong case for his points and provide what seems on its surface to be very good advice for people. This is where Peterson's background as a clinical psychologist comes in handy. 12 Rules for Life is billed as an "antidote to chaos", and that is what its primary focus is. It's not great at helping you be more successful if you're disciplined and self-reliant already. As someone who always struggled with grasping the world, however, I found it very helpful.Since I started reading this book, I lost 12 pounds, went from writing five hundred words a day to three thousand words a day, started waking up earlier in the morning consistently, and have been much happier. Some of that is attributable to the fact that I was already willing to make changes, and many of the things I was doing were obviously bad ideas. But there is something to be said for the lessons Peterson teaches. They are complicated, sometimes a little indirect, and mired in allegory. This makes them more valuable, if anything. Peterson doesn't use a magic formula, he uses principles of right action. This book provides general ideas and positions that can serve as a great tool to understanding how people think and why things go wrong. Not everyone will agree with it. There is a chapter in the book where Peterson reflects on the fact that he has opportunities with clients where he could tell them one thing or another and their minds would make it to be total truth either way.Perhaps that is what Peterson has done here: perhaps most systems like this are sufficient to improve lives if brought diligently into practice.Or perhaps there is something to Peterson's words. His indictment of meaninglessness and his calls to purpose echo soundly throughout the book. There have been those who say that Peterson's calls for people to get themselves organized and his oft-mystical language is a cover for something sinister. But I don't think they've ever really listened to him.Approaching Peterson a skeptic, I was not sure that reading a book would have the power to change anything in my life. The first few chapters were met with nods, hesitancy, and the concession of points that sounded good. I wasn't hostile to him, and I found many of his points quite clever. But when Peterson delved deeper into the archetypes and depth psychology I became suspicious. I had a moderate distrust of the Jungian method; I use it to teach literature, but I did not believe in using archetypes to assess personality.Peterson's point is that we are all part of something great and interconnected. Because it is so massive, we need to be working to make sense of it. It won't happen automatically, and if we go for an easy explanation we may find ourselves walking dark, treacherous paths of misanthropy and rejection. We are complicated pieces in an even more complicated puzzle. Peterson's approach is one of self improvement. When we take steps to sort ourselves out, we also need to enter a symbiotic process of bringing order to our world. The purpose of this is not to achieve some sort of superiority. It is to achieve survival. The world will change, and we will be forced to adapt.Peterson states that "life is tragic." His point is that people need to be ready to deal with adversity. Anyone can handle good times, because that's what we are able to rest and relax during. The true test of a person comes when they lose a loved one or a job or their health. They need to make a decision: what will they do in response.Peterson uses haunting examples to illustrate what happens when this goes wrong. Using everything from Dostoevsky to the Soviet Union (and countless other insights from modern and historical figures), he creates case studies of what happens when things go wrong and people turn to dysfunction rather than improving their situation. His 12 Rules serve as a guide on how to go from that point of failure to a point of redemption, offering a series of suggestions and guidelines to take a life that is becoming corrupted by hatred of the world and everything in it and turn it into a vessel for growth and self-improvement.Is it a perfect guide to living life? No.Is it helpful? Does it give insight to great truths? Yes.

Easy Spanish Phrase Book NEW EDITION Pdf

ISBN: 0486499057
Title: Easy Spanish Phrase Book NEW EDITION Pdf Over 700 Phrases for Everyday Use (Dover Language Guides Spanish)
Author: Pablo Garcia Loaeza
Published Date: 2013
Page: 85
Designed as a quick reference tool and an easy-to-use study guide, this inexpensive and up-to-date book offers fast, effective communications. The perfect companion for tourists and business travelers in Spain and Latin America, it features words, phrases, and sentences that cover everything from asking directions to making reservations to ordering dinner.
Over 700 conveniently organized expressions include terms for modern telecommunications as well as phrases related to transportation, shopping, services, medical and emergency situations, and other common circumstances. A phonetic pronunciation accompanies each phrase.

Really great bargain For the price, this really can't be beat. It is a little bit larger in terms of length and width than your usual travel language pocket guide, but it's very lightweight and I'm definitely planning to bring this with me on an upcoming trip.I don't speak Spanish, so I can't attest to the accuracy of the words/phrases/etc. but the topics covered in this book are what I was looking for, and the pronunciation guides are easy to use. I plan to supplement this book with some audio resources online, and between the two I expect I will be able to use at least a little of the native language on my vacation. Even simple phrases can really help open new doors.Unrelated to the actual item, Amazon (for the first time in my many years of buying from them) packed it poorly with another large heavy item so it bent during shipping, but after notifying them they promptly sent a replacement.Handy, simple, easy This is a very simple, handy resource for learning fundamental Spanish. I speak a couple languages and have dabbled in several others, and I'm of the personal opinion that the way to go is learning phrases. Learn them in their complete, conjugated, grammatically-accurate format (and, of course, learn how to correctly pronounce them). Do this, and you never again have to guess about that particular phrase - even if you don't yet understand the grammatical reasons why the sentence/phrase got that way. So, for one just beginning who wants some quick and easy phrases in a small booklet that fits nicely into your bag or even a cargo pocket, this is one work I'd recommend. This book is incredibly helpful and was in great condition. It is small for traveling and fits ... I took three years of Spanish in high school, and am now in graduate school and have decided to pick Spanish back up again. This book is incredibly helpful and was in great condition. It is small for traveling and fits into a small bag or purse. It has incredibly useful words and phrases and is a great way to learn Spanish! I try and learn something new from it each day.
